Treasure Island

We have learned how to really enjoy trips to the beach.

Most weekends we cross the bay to go to a gulf beach.

Saint Petersburg has Ashley's favorite beaches.

This was our first time to Treasure Island.

Random experiences

Sometimes we have hot air balloons in the morning.

The girls love to wear Ashley's shoes.

Tball was a lot of fun.  Until I stood on an anthill and got attacked.  There were so many ants on my one sandal that I had to abandon it on the sidewalk and go back to get it later.

One Saturday our beach trip was rained out, but we had fun eating and walking along the beachfront anyway.

What will Quinn do next?

Playing in the mud.  Yes, that is a shoe on her hand.  We don't know why.

Going to play tball.

She had to wear this bib.

She suddenly loves books.  The original Brown Bear, Brown Bear was from Elly and got completely worn out so another was bought today.

This beanbag chair drives her crazy because it is hard for her to get centered in it.  But one of us adults put her in it and she sat and ruled the kitchen.

Now that big brother and sister are in school it is easier to visit me for lunch.

Sometimes she goes in this little pantry and closes the door.

School Starts

School shopping always includes new shoes.  Here is how to break them in.
The traditional first day of school photo:

Busch Gardens

Elly, James, and I went to Busch Gardens on a Saturday.

The sculptures are neat.

Lots of them are fun to climb on.  This one was a challenge.

James, like usual, likes to watch wildlife.

The first place they chose on the map was the children's area.

More wildlife.  It's like a zoo and amusement park in one.

Supper while watching a roller coaster.

James makes friends easily.  The little boy came up and called him a girl and they were instant friends.

This is where to stand to get soaked from one of the rides.

And the main attraction - fireworks!

Best Toy Ever - Tubes

At the beach Kerry bought each big kid a tube, and the kids played with them forever.  We even take the tubes to the pool now.

Mary Ann, Rachel, Chris, and Kerry Visit

Mary Ann, Rachel, Chris, and Kerry visited for a long weekend.

Before Kerry arrived Friday night, Mary Ann, Rachel, and Chris joined Elly, James, and me at Busch Gardens.

The motorcycles were a big hit.

James making faces in the mirror made me laugh.

This is one of the only things I've seen that James was scared of.

Rachel and Elly had fun riding this roller coaster several times.

See the white tiger by the trees and the orange tiger by the waterfall?

I always like watching elephants.

On Saturday the whole gang went to the beach.  For those pictures you'll have to visit Ashley or Mary Ann's Facebook pages.

On Sunday Quinn and Ashley rested while the rest went to the Aquarium.

Here I learned why our community is named the Hammocks.
H

Marketplace

A couple Saturday mornings a month the mall nearby has outdoor vendors.  The face painting was a fundraiser for an orphanage.

Early Birds

Most mornings James and I are the first to wake up.  Sometimes he keeps me company while I get ready for work.  He took this picture.  Sorry that you had to see me in my underwear.

Pool Fun

I like this picture because it's an action shot of Elly under water.
